Re: Why I'm ditching the Arduino software platform

I also stopped using arduino about 4 years ago for almost the same reasons: lack of quality and care.

At that time, i was doing some arduino work for kiosks to be used by quite a big company. I used unoR2 boards but they kept on acting wierd with my daughter board. I came to the forums and explained what happened and after much discussions and test, someone found that there was a hardware design problem that would send 10v pikes to CPU and freeze it. It took days and multiple attempts to reach the arduino team before they considered answering and take the problem in account.

Ultimately, that led to unoR3, and me stopping arduino while strongly disagreeing with Massimo on how they handled the situation: total silence.

Arduino started something, and i am also grateful. But man, never will i use that again for serious work.
